Characters

1:15 Rockstar's site introduced eight characters of Grand Theft Auto 6 with Trailer 2 in May 2025: the two leads, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, and six more, from Jason's landlord in the Keys to a Vice City club owner turned music mogul. IGN's walk through them starts with Brian, "a longtime drug runner, smuggling product through the Leonida Keys" behind the front of Brian's Boat Works and Marina. Rockstar has not published a cast list. The actor Stephen Root said in September 2026 that he is in the game, and he is widely reported to be Brian.

Quick facts

Brian Heder

0:15 Brian is the first person Trailer 2 shows with Jason. He drops by while Jason is up on a roof fixing leaks, with an errand: "I got some properties with paying tenants", so "just go get me my checks!" Jason is one of his tenants.

7:08 In An Extended Look, Jason and Lucia meet Brian and his wife Lori for a long dinner conversation that leads to their first job with Raul. Gameranx notes that Brian sounds like the actor Stephen Root, and that his line to Jason, that you have to know when to get off, may be a theme of the game.

0:09 Asked about it on a red carpet in September 2026, Root told the Associated Press: "Yeah, you're going to see me in there." His character, he said, was in Rockstar's first rollout, and "too many people who knew me from King of the Hill and my voice" gave the secret away. He did not name the part; the press took it to be Brian.

Cal Hampton

1:38 Cal is the man doing shots with Jason and Lucia at the Rusty Anchor bar in Trailer 2: Jason's friend and an associate of Brian's, with "something of a paranoia problem, so maybe take everything he says with a grain of salt."

39:06 He gets the last word of the Extended Look, fishing with the couple and telling them, in TGG's transcription, "It might not feel like it, but these are your glory days", and "Enjoy this". TGG reads it as foreshadowing, and as a message from Rockstar to its players.

Real Dimez and Dre'Quan Priest

1:46 Bae-Luxe, identified by her gold chain, is one half of Real Dimez, high school friends turned rappers and influencers. With Roxy and a new deal with Only Raw Records, she hopes to make it big in Vice City.

2:05 Their manager is Dre'Quan Priest, a hustler more interested in the music business than in Vice City's underworld, who books the acts at the Jack of Hearts strip club and now has a potential hit on his hands. He runs Only Raw with Boobie Ike.

Boobie Ike

7:15 Boobie Ike is on the cover art: a local Vice City legend, a music producer and the owner of the Jack of Hearts strip club, who with Dre'Quan puts drug and club money into a budding music empire. Rockstar's site says he "is all smiles until it's time to talk business", and IGN expects Jason and Lucia to work both with and against him.

0:52 The Extended Look opens on a job for Boobie, a drug pickup that turns into a police raid, and TGG expects him to be one of the main people handing out missions in the early and middle game.

Raul Bautista

8:50 Raul is also on the cover, holding a Duke assault rifle in front of the Sin Frontera National Bank. Rockstar's site calls him a seasoned bank robber "always on the hunt for talent ready to take the risks that bring the biggest rewards", and IGN points out that Duke is a gun maker from the Red Dead Redemption games.

22:07 In the Extended Look, Jason and Lucia meet him as his getaway drivers: Raul has just robbed a bank across the street, and the police chase follows. Impressed by how they handle it, he takes them into his crew.

Others

1:56 The first job in the Extended Look is a search for a man called Raymond. When they find him, one of his own contacts has told the police where he is, and Raymond gets Jason and Lucia out of the building through an old woman's apartment.

12:37 A television advert in Trailer 2 brings back Phil Cassidy, the gun dealer from Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City, now the face of Ammu-Nation: "Come to Phil's Ammu-Nation today! We got more guns than the law allows."

34:59 In the Extended Look's last mission, Jason and Lucia work as bodyguards at an airport meeting, where TGG recognized Valentina, a character first seen stepping off a private jet in Grand Theft Auto Online's 2025 Money Fronts update.

The Ultimate Edition adds Wyman, "an eccentric collector and local fixer", who sends the player after abandoned classic and unfinished project cars; see Editions and Pre-orders.
